We’re hiring – early years music leader!

We are looking for an early-years music leader to run a regular Little Notes session at Selby Library and a regular session at Whitby Library. Little Notes is a regular interactive music session for 0-5s and their parents/carers.

We are open minded about finding someone who is the right fit for this work. This means we are not set on you having a specific or minimum level of experience in early years music delivery. However, we feel that sharing AMP’s values around child centred practice is extremely important.

Details

– 23 sessions to be scheduled throughout the academic year 2024/2025.

– Content of the session can be led by your expertise, it might including singing, story-telling, creating rhythms, using live instruments or other

– Our sessions use music that is created live within the session (e.g. through singing, instruments and/or percussion) rather than pre-records.

– Percussion instruments and other interactive props can be provided by AMP – AMP will support with marketing

– The position will involve submitting data and feedback to AMP, instructions and resources will be provided to do so and time for this will be covered in your fee.

– Participation in peer observation sessions with other Little Notes leaders is supported and encouraged.

– CPD opportunities provided by AMP.

Applicants must be 18 years+. Applicants should have a strong knowledge of safeguarding protocols, training will be provided. A valid DBS check will be needed and can be facilitated by AMP. Candidates should be within a commutable distance of Selby Library or Whitby Library.
