Connecting young people with sound opportunities

AMP’s SEND Music Network was established in 2012. It is open to all those who are working with, or interested in learning more about how to work with, children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. That includes music practitioners, workshop leaders, classroom teachers, staff and freelance practitioners.

Membership is free, and you will receive:

  • Quarterly e-bulletins featuring the latest policy updates, research and sector news
  • Invitations to Early Years Music CPD and Networking events in North Yorkshire, ensuring they’re the first to hear about training opportunities nearby
  • Free networking events
  • Free webinars
  • Access to online resources including music makers song books, early years song bank, career planning webinars and specialist panel discussions
  • Free 3-week hire of resource kits

Our programme of CPD opportunities have focused on supporting those professionals to make music more accessible to the children and young people they work with. Previous CPD sessions have included: accessible ideas for using music in the classroom; the Sounds of Intent framework of musical development; music and autistic spectrum disorders; accessible music technology and iPad Apps; youth voice in SEND contexts, and Singing and Signing.

“Very useful afternoon. Informative and inspirational.”
