Welcome to ON Tour!

ON Tour is a live orchestral performance from Skipton Town Hall that you can stream directly to your classroom, meaning you can access it from anywhere in the country!

You can access the concert and resource pack until 22 July 2024. To watch this concert, simply register (it’s free) by pressing on the Get this resource button to the left of this page. After you enter your details onto the registration page, you will then be able to log in and access the concert on this page – the video will appear below, with the downloadable resource (PDF) to the left.

This performance introduces students to the instruments of the orchestra in a fun and interactive format; students will learn about the different sections of the orchestra, how music can be used to convey a story and how the conductor keeps everyone playing in time!

ON Tour is an interactive orchestral performance aimed at KS2 pupils and featuring 14 musicians from the Orchestra of Opera North (violin x 2, viola, cello, double bass, flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, horn, trumpet, trombone, percussion x 2) performing alongside  conductor Ellie Slorach and presenter Nicholas Shaw.

It is approximately 30 mins in length and features music from the BBC Ten Pieces:
