ON Tour

Thank you for using our resource. The licence period has now come to an end.

ON Tour was a live orchestral performance from Skipton Town Hall that you could stream directly to your classroom, meaning you could access it from anywhere in the country!

This performance introduced students to the instruments of the orchestra in a fun and interactive format; students learnt about the different sections of the orchestra, how music can be used to convey a story and how the conductor keeps everyone playing in time!

ON Tour was an interactive orchestral performance aimed at KS2 pupils and featuring 14 musicians from the Orchestra of Opera North (violin x 2, viola, cello, double bass, flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, horn, trumpet, trombone, percussion x 2) performing alongside  conductor Ellie Slorach and presenter Nicholas Shaw.
