A message from Chloe (new Co-Chair of our board of Trustees)

“It’s been a busy summer for the AMP Music Trustee Board. I’m delighted to have stepped up to become Co-Chair of the Board along with Sarah Beckett who has been a Trustee at AMP for over 5 years. Having been a Trustee myself since 2024, I’m looking forward taking on more responsibility and excited to be working closely with Sarah who is an asset to the charity. I’m thrilled our previous chair Sarah Baumann will continue being part of our Trustee team having led the Board with incredible strategic vision, communication and organisation, able to offer guidance as myself and Sarah step up into this role. As the Board moves into this new era, I am proud to welcome 5 new Trustees following a highly competitive recruitment process.

 

Edward Cooke (he/him) is the Live Interpretation and Events Manager at the National Royal Armouries Museum. A graduate in music performance from the Leeds Conservatoire, Ed was a participant in AMP projects whilst studying for his master’s at the University of York. Ed is a disability advocate who brings lived experience growing up in rurality alongside professional expertise of working in large scale cultural organisations such as Opera North and the National Centre for Early Years Music.

 

Katherine Dunn (she/her) is a Company Director, freelance arts producer and Co-founder of Yorkshire Coast Gigs, a Community Interest Company that works to raise the profile of grassroots music in the region. Based in Scarborough, Kath brings expertise in governance, advocacy and event planning having coordinated operational delivery in arts organisations such as the Stephen Joseph Theatre and Haydonning Limited for over a decade.

 

Emily Heaton (she/her) is a Civil Service Economist and Radio Producer for Leeds Student Radio. A previous AMP Music Producer, Emily brought her passion for music journalism to produce a podcast series promoting the event and went on to work for FORGE as a Social Media Assistant. Emily brings skills in financial management, communications and advocacy having spoken at music industry conferences about the importance of Youth Voice.

 

Abbie Pascoe (she/her) is a music practitioner, researcher and classical saxophonist currently based in the Midlands. Growing up in Grassington with lived experience of rurality, Abbie moved to Birmingham to study music at the Conservatoire before undertaking a master’s at the University of Birmingham in Inclusion within Special Education and Teaching. Abbie now works as a freelance music practitioner utilising her expertise to support young people with complex needs to access music opportunities.

 

Reese Wake (she/her) is a journalist, musician and founder of Jaded Radio, an independent radio station supported by the PRS Foundation as part of the PPL Momentum Accelerator Scheme. Originally from Newcastle, Reese moved to Yorkshire to complete her BJTC accredited Journalism degree at the University of Leeds. Alongside professional experience in newsrooms, events and the education sector, Reese brings lived experience of building a portfolio career in the music industry.”
