SEND Music Practitioner Programme

AMP SEND Music Network are offering an opportunity for an emerging early years music leader to undertake a training programme with the support of a bursary. This CPD opportunity would be ideal for a music practitioner looking to develop their skills and confidence as an SEND music leader.

THE PROGRAMME
3 x half days shadowing sessions in a SEND music setting in North Yorkshire You will shadow an experienced SEND music leader, spending time observing and playing musically with children in the setting, taking part in reflection discussions with the SEND music leader.

4 mentor sessions – 4 x 1 hour-long online meetings with an experienced SEND music leader to reflect on and discuss your observations from the sessions and how these can inform your own practice and work.

Free access to our online resources featuring a huge range of pre-recorded CPD sessions. Further training and CPD as agreed with AMP.

FEE
As part of its continuing professional development offer to SEND music practitioners in North Yorkshire, AMP will be offering a bursary of £500 plus travel to take part in this programme.

TIME COMMITMENT
Exact times to be agreed between March and July 2024. You do not need to have significant experience in Early Years Music Leadership to apply. You do not have to have experience leading music sessions, however some experience in working in SEND would be beneficial. Enthusiasm and commitment to developing musical leadership skills is more important than already having an advanced skillset
