Young Women Conductors’ Placement

In partnership with Brass Bands England and Shepherd Group Brass Band, AMP launched a Young Women Conductors’ Placement in February 2024.

With mentorship from internationally renowned conductor, Katrina Marzella, our two young conductors will regularly lead Shepherd Group Brass Band ensembles over a period of six months.

We selected Annie Wilkins and Becky Lund as our young women conductors. Stay tuned for news on how they develop, and their debut concert with Shepherd Group.

We will be announcing further details of a conducting masterclass with Katrina Marzella which will take place on Saturday 4 May 2024 – watch this space!
