AMP Generators Masterclass

In partnership with Brass Bands England and Shepherd Brass Band, AMP launched a Young Women Conductors’ Placement in February 2024. With mentorship from internationally renowned conductor, Katrina Marzella, two young conductors, Annie Wilkins and Becky Lund, regularly led Shepherd Group Brass Band ensembles over a period of six months.

The partnership also hosted a conducting masterclass at Shepherd’s with Katrina Marzella and Femmes Fortissimo, in May 2024. We created a short film of the day, with reflections from participants on the opportunity to conduct an all-women ensemble under guidance from Katrina.
